◆ Profiles ◆
Photographer: Juan Carlos Pinto
A Mexican photographer based in Zushi City. Through his street photography, he captures urban elements like public telephones and the city's fleeting light—serving as witnesses to changing times and connecting points of society's continuity. In his fine art photography, he treats Japan as a philosophical realm. By incorporating traditional washi paper and hanging scrolls into his exhibitions, he demonstrates a deep respect for Japanese art. He has published five photo books internationally and won numerous awards across Japan, Australia, and Europe.
Stage & Film Designer: Chika Kato
A graduate of Tama Art University with a degree in Japanese Painting. During her studies, she joined the theater company "Daisan Erotica" before becoming a freelance stage designer, studying under the renowned Setsu Asakura. In 2000, she won the 7th Yomiuri Theater Award (Best Staff) for her work on the Rinkogun theater company's productions Tokyo Trial 1999 and The Emperor and the Kiss. Her work on Capital of the Country of Gods also toured worldwide. She has designed sets for prominent directors like Hideki Noda, Keralino Sandorovich, Kankuro Kudo, and Eri Watanabe. Her diverse portfolio ranges from Gekidan EXILE productions to the children's program Okaasan to Issho, and she is currently expanding her expertise into film production design.
The Sound of Voice: Yukiko Tasaka ~Yukiko~
Based in both Zushi and Mexico. After studying at Furano Juku, she transitioned into stage production. During physical training, she discovered the "moment when the voice connects with the Earth." She now hosts experiences that allow participants to harmonize with themselves, others, and the world around them through vocal vibrations.
